I was a bit dubious when I was asked to begin posting some of my stuff at My.Firedoglake.com. I haven’t been a fan of the main site in a very long time and I detest most of what I see & hear from Jane Hamsher. But the new editor of the My.FDL site encouraged me, saying they were trying to get more sane commentary on the public part of the site and he thought I could help with that. He promised me my stuff would be “front-paged” every time I posted. I was reluctant to do anything that would bring eyeballs to her site and bring her more revenue but thought maybe I should give it a chance. So I did.
Well, no more.
You gotta feel sorry for [President Obama]. His most ardent supporters are the dumbest motherfuckers in the world, and they don’t realize he thinks they are digging his political grave.
Fuck you, Jane Hamsher. You are the epitome of everything that is wrong with far-left liberals these days. You accuse others of hurting the cause and of abandoning “the base”, then you spew viscious vitriol like this against the supporters of a president that is clearly still wildly popular among Democrats and other liberals? These are the thousands and thousands of volunteers and contributors that will ensure we keep the Republicans out of the White House for at least one more term. The shark has been jumped backwards, blindfolded, with a flaming baton in both hands.
Not. One. More. Word.
Adding… I’m thrilled that my friend Marcy Wheeler is leaving FDL now, as well, though for other reasons. Now I can read her brilliance without having to give Hamsher undeserved traffic.

FDL and the ‘baggers have been plucking my nerves for a while now. I used to be a regular over there (under a different handle) going back to around ’06, and I just can’t take the craziness anymore and I’m sad to see how they’ve deteriorated. (I do still enjoy their Late, Late Night threads though).
I started following you on FB, and have read a lot here, and I like what I see. So thanks for that!

Yeah, I’m definitely among the legions of Jane’s stupidest emeffers in the world and proud of it. I definitely got an earfull/eyefull in my email box this morning from my My.FDL boss this morning, the one that got me to provide free content to Jane Hamsher’s website. WTF was I thinking???!

The problem with Jane Hamsher isn’t that she’s a far left liberal. It’s that she’s a destructive force vying for as much influence as she can by purporting to represent far left liberals out there. I would label her with her profession as a pundit because her punditry is the problem.
I agree with you. Sadly, some folks are issue ideologues, for better or worse. This woman Hamsher’s only position is Pro-herself and who ever happens to agree with her. She exploiting ideologues for self-aggrandizement.
Hamsher’s no progressive, she’s a Ferengi employing Rule of Acquisition #239 – “Never be afraid to mislabel a product.”
Don’t forget Rule of Acquisition #266 also – “When in doubt, lie.”
